Barack Obama is currently faced with a federal lawsuit alleging that he is not a natural-born US citizen. Instead of simply producing the documents necessary to demonstrate that he is (and suing the litigant for defamation of character), the Obama camp moved to dismiss the lawsuit. This month (October 2008) the dismissal attempt was denied by the judge. It looks like Obama may have to produce the documents. One would think that if he could, he would have already done so. He hasn't.
Bill Ayers, best known for starting the Weather Underground, which specialized in killing police officers and blowing up buildings, was also famous for telling children to kill their parents to help foment the revolution. He also desecrated a flag in 2000 for a magazine photo op.
Ayers gave Obama his political start by hosting a political fund-raiser in his own living room. He was praised by Michelle Obama for his knowledge of children's issues (which I suppose they got their issues from killing their parents??? but I digress). Now the Obama camp is denying that Barack had any knowledge whatsoever that Ayers was ever a terrorist.
We have the Reverend Jeremiah Wright who famously taught Black Panther socialist philosophy, married the Obamas, baptized their children and gave Barack the name of one of his two books. Barack sat in his church for 20 years, but never heard any of the sermons, except for that little snippet he used to title his book.
Jeremiah Wright was also on the board of directors of the organization that owned Christ Hospital, the facility which specialized in killing children after they survived abortions. When nurse Jill Stanek blew the whistle on them, she did so in part by testifying before both Illinois Senate and the US Congress - she was an eyewitness to the fact that Christ Hospital policy was to throw unwanted infants into soiled utility rooms until they died hours later.
Barack essentially called Stanek a liar, denying this ever happened, and asserting that if it did, then it must be allowed to continue in order to protect abortion rights. He voted in favor of keeping infanticide legal four times.
Barack campaigned in Africa in support of his cousin, the leader of the Kenyan Orange Democratic Movement opposition leader, Raila Odinga, who has fomented a civil war after losing an election there.
Barack's half-brother, George, is homeless in that same country. Barack has not sent a penny to help his own brother.
Barack was also one of the lead lawyers for ACORN, the organization that helped pressure several administrations into supplying bad loans to unqualified borrowers. He got more kickback money in less time from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac than any other US Senator in history (true, Dodd and Kerry got more money in total, but Obama had served far less time in the Senate than either of them, though his "inexperience" didn't seem to affect his bottom-line). His work, and the work of the organizations he supports, helped create the housing crisis that spread, through the sale of bad mortgages, throughout the world so as to become what is now a world-wide banking crisis.
So, we have a presidential candidate who:
- is not a natural-born US citizen,
- got his political start in the living room of his friend, a known and unrepentant terrorist,
- was spiritually mentored by a demagogue,
- supports infanticide,
- supports and is related to socialist revolutionaries,
- refuses to help the poorest of the poor, even when it's his own brother,
- helped create the current US and arguably the current world-wide economic crisis.
And he's winning?
I can't believe we're losing to this guy.

I'd be careful with the allegation that Obama is not a natural born citizen. That his lawyers sought to have the case dismissed instead of going to the State of Hawaii to get a judge to issue an order permitting the State of Hawaii to release the original copy of his birth certificate is hardly proof that he wasn't really born in Hawaii. As it is, he has provided what is supposed to be a certified copy of his birth certificate (which is all he could expect to have: the original is the private property of the State of Hawaii), but that has been attacked as supposedly fake. I can't judge if it's fake or legit, but anyway at this time it's careless and rash to assert that Obama is not a natural born citizen. If Obama regarded this lawsuit as frivolous, even insane, he would have instructed his lawyers to move for a dismissal: that's no reason to suspect that the lawsuit's allegations are correct. Sure would be nice if that were true, though, as it would spare this country a lot of grief.
One of the problems is that our candidate refuses to say any of this. He wants to remain "above the fray" and not get his hands dirty. Unfortunately, he continues to woo the independent voter and alienate his base. You cannot win an election with only the independent voter. They only come into play if the race is close - and you can't get close unless you have the full support of your base. He even said during his acceptance speech at the convention that he was not from any party - oh, excuse me, but I think he is running as a Republican, not an Independent. So, if you refuse to point out the other guys weaknesses, and you alienate your base, that seems to be a pretty good formula for losing the race. You know, bi-partisanship is just another word for "the Republican compromised his principles just to get along with the whining, screaming Democrat".
Just thought of something. What if Obama isn't a natural-born U.S. citizen, but he wins the election, and then it is found that he was born in Kenya as his grandmother and siblings say he was. In such a scenario, I think Biden would become president. That's almost as bad as having Obama as president.
Exactly. And behind him is Pelosi, who is at least as bad as the Deadly Duo.
Now you see why the Democrats don't give a flip whether Obama is a US citizen or not, as long as they can get him into office before anyone discovers the ruse.
With supporters like you uttering lies such as "we have a presidential candidate who is not a natural-born US citizen" -- I can understand why McCain is losing.
Dem - must be short for Demented. Or Democrat. Sorry for being redundant.
Out of all the things I post, you protest against the possibility that he isn't natural born?
You're fine with the rest of it?
Yep - Demented.
So I see that you're an asshole on top of everything else, huh?
As far as your other claims, I cannot take any of them seriously when you are throwing out such obvious lies among them.
You are trying to stack the deck.
Unfortunately, your "deck" is the deck of the Titanic, and your Republican ship has already hit the iceberg.
Democrats support the common man and his/her problems. And there are a lot of problems. It's not all about abortion as the church says it must be.
Vote with your conscience, I say. That is what I'm doing.
And that is why Obama will win.
If Obama's citizenship were an "obvious lie" it would be a simple matter to disprove.
So, demonstrate why he did NOT become a citizen of Indonesia when his father adopted him. Show me the oath of allegiance he took when he returned from the Indonesian grade school where he was registered as an Indonesian citizen.
If the falsehood is obvious, you should be able to do that easily. If you can't do it easily, you are what you claim to be - demented.
And you are a RADICAL asshole...
whose president will be Obama.
Just as I thought.
You have no evidence.
Like Hitler before him, Obama may indeed manage to consolidate his rule over the United States, occupy the Oval Office and force his will on America even though he, like Hitler, won't technically have been elected to the office (since he isn't qualified).
Fortunately, I live fairly close to the Mexican border and can flee the country if necessary. My wife is Hispanic - when things get bad, we'll have options.
Leave then! Good riddance!
Steve, don't waste your breath on this Obamabot thug. He's only polluting your weblog with his filth. Delete his trollery and be done with it.
Ah, Dem, the thing people always overlook is that moving geographical residence doesn't change how involved I am in the government.
I will still have the right to vote in federal elections even if I live abroad. I simply won't be subject to most state or federal laws because I'll be living in a foreign jurisdiction.
I would delete Dem's comments, but they are such a perfect emblem of Dem thinking that it seems a shame to be rid of them.
They are an excellent bad example.
I think I'll keep them on display for all to see.
Thank you for leaving my comments intact. They help to balance your radical viewpoints.
Balance, eh? So what you’re saying, in calling him “radical,” is that you’re an extremist.
Here is Obama's birth certificate.

Are you a Catholic, Dem?
Yes.
Then why are you planning to vote for someone who supports heinous intrinsic evil when there is an alternative that could at least limit that evil?
See Professor Robert P. George's "Obama's Abortion Extremism" in the 14 Oct. 2008 "Public Discourse":
www.thepublicdiscourse.com/index.php
Which is more important to you? Being a "Dem" or being a Catholic? Are you helping to shape American culture along Catholic lines, or letting the culture shape you?
Abortion is not the only issue.
Across all the issues, Obama is more supportive of people in general and their quests to live good, decent lives.
McCain is more supportive of big businesses.
Abortion is not the only issue.
No, it’s not. It’s just the most important one at this time in history. Millions of people have been slaughtered and scarred by something that simply must be outlawed, but you support someone who promises to sign a law that would force Christians to participate in abortion or else get out of the medical profession. And you don’t have a problem with that.
Across all the issues, Obama is more supportive of people in general and their quests to live good, decent lives.
Sure he’s supportive: if you’ve been born, and if your quest to live a good, decent life doesn’t include respect for human rights, chastity, and matrimony.
McCain is more supportive of big businesses.
Only someone ignorant of American politics would say that. Not that being supportive of big businesses is necessarily a bad thing (unless you prefer a higher unemployment rate), but still, folks like Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, and George Soros aren’t Republicans, you know. If you’d been paying attention, you’d have seen that at least since the 1990s the Democrats have been the party of corporate America and Wall Street.
Steve, that video clip is funny, but don't expect the MSM to give Sen. Bidenpence the Dan Quayle treatment or the treatment they've given Pres. Bush.
The polls are showing some encouraging news. Obama's financial crisis-inflating polling numbers have been gradually eroding. Gallup shows him only 2 points ahead of McCain now. If McCain keeps up his solid performance at the last debate, this country just might be spared the disaster of this "I want to spread your wealth around" socialist.
Wrong. Obama's lead is gaining.
GO OBAMA. The real "pro-life" candidate.
Well, it may be that the whole nation gets to experience the kind of Chicago politics that used to be limited to Illinois.
Anyone who has lived near East St. Louis or Chicago's south side knows what Senator Obama has in store for us.
My advice: move to a state that allows concealed carry, use .45 caliber weapons, and practice, practice, practice. Torso shots are easier than head shots, keep the grouping tight.
Wrong. Obama's lead is gaining.
It wasn't on Oct. 17 when I posted my comment, silly person. At that time his lead was eroding.
GO OBAMA. The real "pro-life" candidate.
Your Holy Mother disagrees with your foolish claim that a man who favors legal abortion and the destruction of the Catholic Church's health care system is any kind of "pro-life" candidate, unless by "pro-life" you mean "pro-death."
Listen to your Mother, "Dem." She knows what She's talking about.
Either that or give up your pretense of being Catholic. Just remember that you have been admonished that your vote for Obama is objectively a grave sin. You now are without excuse.
Here's some of what your Mother is telling you about your obligation to vote Catholic, not Democrat, Dem:
Voting Pro-Abortion Called Cooperating in Evil
Texas Bishops Resolve Doubts for Faithful Citizens
DALLAS, Texas, OCT. 22, 2008 (Zenit.org).- Voting for a pro-abortion candidate when there is an alternative option is to cooperate in evil, and therefore morally impermissible, clarified two Texas bishops.
In a message made available to the faithful during this Respect Life month, bishops Kevin Farrell of Dallas and Kevin Vann of Fort Worth seek to "dispel any confusion or misunderstanding that may be present among you concerning the teaching contained in" the U.S. bishops document on faithful citizenship.
"'Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship' clearly teaches that not all issues have the same moral equivalence," the bishops explained. "Some issues involve 'intrinsic evils'; that is, they can never under any circumstance or condition be morally justified. Preeminent among these intrinsic evils are legalized abortion, the promotion of same-sex unions and 'marriages,' repression of religious liberty, as well as public policies permitting euthanasia, racial discrimination or destructive human embryonic stem cell research."
Thus, bishops Farrell and Vann stated, "we cannot make more clear the seriousness of the overriding issue of abortion -- while not the 'only issue'-- it is the defining moral issue, not only today, but of the last 35 years. [] This electoral cycle affords us an opportunity to promote the culture of life in our nation.
"As Catholics we are morally obligated to pray, to act and to vote to abolish the evil of abortion in America, limiting it as much as we can until it is finally abolished."
Not enough
The prelates acknowledged that there are a number of important issues voters must consider "such as immigration reform, health care, the economy and its solvency, care and concern for the poor, and the war on terror."
"As Catholics we must be concerned about these issues and work to see that just solutions are brought about," they wrote. "There are many possible solutions to these issues and there can be reasonable debate among Catholics on how to best approach and solve them. These are matters of 'prudential judgment.'"
"But," the prelates emphasized, "let us be clear: Issues of prudential judgment are not morally equivalent to issues involving intrinsic evils. No matter how right a given candidate is on any of these issues, it does not outweigh a candidate's unacceptable position in favor of an intrinsic evil such as abortion or the protection of 'abortion rights.'"
Salvation at stake
The Texas bishops, citing the U.S. episcopal conference document, addressed the question of if it is "permissible for a Catholic to vote for a candidate who supports an intrinsic evil -- even when the voter does not agree with the candidate's position on that evil."
They said there are only two conditions when voting for a pro-abortion candidate is permissible: "A. If both candidates running for office support abortion or 'abortion rights,' a Catholic would be forced to then look at the other important issues and through their vote try to limit the evil done; or,
"B. If another intrinsic evil outweighs the evil of abortion. While this is sound moral reasoning, there are no 'truly grave moral' or 'proportionate' reasons, singularly or combined, that could outweigh the millions of innocent human lives that are directly killed by legal abortion each year.
"To vote for a candidate who supports the intrinsic evil of abortion or 'abortion rights' when there is a morally acceptable alternative would be to cooperate in the evil -- and, therefore, morally impermissible."
The bishops concluded affirming that the decisions made on such political and moral issues "may affect each individual's salvation."
"As Catholics, we must treat our political choices with appropriate moral gravity," they wrote, "and in doing so, realize our continuing and unavoidable obligation to be a voice for the voiceless unborn, whose destruction by legal abortion is the preeminent intrinsic evil of our day."
The polls are just not making any sense. A few days ago Gallup had Obama just 2 points ahead of McCain, but since then Obama has inched up to 5 points ahead. Today the AP shows Obama just 1 point ahead, while other polls have Obama anyway from 3 to 11 points ahead.
Just a follow-up on the allegation that Obama is not a natural born citizen. Last week Philip Berg's lawsuit was dismissed on grounds that he lacks standing to file such a civil suit. Berg has appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court, which of course is not likely to accept the appeal.
Questioning Obama's birth in Hawaii has never had much going for it, but now that the question has been raised it would be good to see his original birth certificate produced before a judge simply to settle this question once and for all (well, for the tinfoil hat types it will never be resolved: they'd find a way to dismiss the evidence even if they were shown what they demanded to see).
