Inconvenient Question

According to electoral-vote.com, Barack Obama is up by 11% in Pennsylvania.
According to Zogby, Barack Obama is up by 11.4% in Pennsylvania.
Muhlenburg and Temple has him up by 13% and 9% respectively.

So, if he has a double-digit lead in Pennsylvania 7 days out, why is he still campaigning there?

  1. Per the BHO campaign staff last weekend on a television talk shows, "We've got money to burn in this last week and we are not taking anything for granite." I find it somewhat surprising that people believe the candidate who lied about campaign finance promises and has run the most costly political campaign in world history would not believe he would "redistribute" their wealth as well.

  2. And an inconvenient observation - I drove a 50plus mile round trip across 3 county lines today - and if Obama is ahead - why did I not see one single Obama campaign sign in anyone's yard (and over 30 McCain/Pain signs).

  3. I live in a Democrat Party stronghold. This is a weird election year, because there just aren't a lot of campaign signs out at all, and nowhere near as many Obama signs as you'd expect from this Democrat bastion. Indeed, I see many yards with signs for the local and state Democrat candidates, but Obama's sign is conspicuously absent.

Of course Obama will win my state big time. He won't win my county, though, and he might not even win my city even though you'd expect him to.

The polls are really wacky too. Gallup has him only 2 points ahead of McCain again, but most other polls show him much further in the lead, even as high as 15 points. That can only mean that the polls are being deliberately twisted and skewed to make it seem like Obama's further ahead than he really is. It's still most likely that he'll win next week (from which may our merciful Lord deliver us!), but I doubt it'll be quite the landslide that the Obama campaign -- that is, the mainstream media -- are telling us it'll be.

  4. Obama Campaign, MSM - a bit redundant.

  5. McCain/Pain signs

I now it was a typo, but pretty funny nonetheless.

  7. Obama will win because he is the candidate who cares about average people. McCain cares about big business. And average people are hurting these days.

Most Catholics are able to see through the abortion smokescreen. McCain doesn't give a rat's ass about abortion and you know it. He wouldn't even commit to appointing a Supreme Court nominee who is pro-life.

Don't be fooled by so-called "we're on your side" politics. The Republicans are only doing this for your vote. They ACT like they care about the unborn, but they DEFINITELY don't care about the BORN, unless you are an executive in a large business.

It's the dirty little secret and most Catholics are seeing passed it and voting for the person whose actions will benefit average people instead of corporations.

  8. Dem the Obamabot said: Obama will win because he is the candidate who cares about average people.

What's sad is that you might actually believe that.

McCain cares about big business. And average people are hurting these days.

    Rhetoric.

Most Catholics are able to see through the abortion smokescreen.

Most Catholics don't know or care a whit about what God has divinely revealed, so it's extremely unlikely that they have the depth and discernment you claim they have. I mean, just look at you, Dem. You're not exactly a fount of wisdom, you know.

McCain doesn't give a rat's ass about abortion and you know it. He wouldn't even commit to appointing a Supreme Court nominee who is pro-life.

Neither did the man who appointed Roberts and Alito . . . .

They ACT like they care about the unborn

As opposed to your party, Dem, who not only act like they don't care about the unborn, but explicitly say they don't care about the unborn.

but they DEFINITELY don't care about the BORN, unless you are an executive in a large business.

Yes, you're right: war really is peace after all.

It's the dirty little secret and most Catholics are seeing passed it and voting for the person whose actions will benefit average people instead of corporations.

Sorry, Dem, but that person isn't running for President this year. Well, maybe it's Chuck Baldwin or Alan Keyes, but they won't get more than a handful of votes, so they're hardly worth mentioning.

Just remember that your vote for Obama makes you personally guilty of the blood of the millions of innocent children that Obama says he wants to kill. Repent now, Dem, before it's too late.

  9. Jordanes, take off the blinders and look across the landscape. You have been so conditioned to see only the one issue. You aren't even able to possibly see nor acknowledge that.

    You should repent.

  10. Sorry, Dem, it's not a sin to vote to try to keep a man who supports diabolical wickedness from taking power, but the Church has let us know that it is objectively sinful to cast a vote for that man this year. You should listen to your Mother -- She understands these things a whole lot better than you do.

  11. Jordi,

Your candidate may or may not appoint a Supreme Court justice who may or may not vote to make abortion a state-by-state law.

Your candidate will help the big companies bring in more money for their executives.

My candidate will focus on the common person and their needs, which are great right now.

I am voting with my conscience.

My candidate isn't running, so I'll have to vote for McCain instead. And it's true that we're far more likely to get a good Supreme Court Justice from McCain than from Obama.

Your candidate will help the big companies bring in more money for their executives.

    So will your candidate.

My candidate will focus on the common person and their needs, which are great right now.

    So will McCain.

I am voting with my conscience.

That's not the problem. The problem is that your conscience has not be properly formed.

  13. Jordi,

Your conscience is seriously suspect, in my book. I would not be comfortable with someone like you in any position of authority. You are self-righteous and condemning. Review some of the things you've said recently.

I think you should take a serious look inward.

  14. Your conscience is seriously suspect, in my book.

As far as I can see, my conscience is formed in accordance with Church teaching. Yours obviously is not, or else you would not regard the Church's teaching on contraception and sodomitic pseudo-marriage as extremist and frightening.

I would not be comfortable with someone like you in any position of authority.

Which could be an indication that someone like me should be in authority.

    You are self-righteous and condemning.

You won't find a single instance of condemnation in any of my comments, and you certainly don't know me, so you wouldn't be able to say if I am self-righteous or not. You probably don't know what "self-righteous" and "condemning" mean.

Review some of the things you've said recently. I think you should take a serious look inward.

Thanks. I can tell, however, that you desperately need to follow your own advice. You hold beliefs and opinions contrary to the Catholic faith, and your soul is in jeopardy because of it.
