This is a ...I live in a Democrat Party stronghold. This is a weird election year, because there just aren't a lot of campaign signs out at all, and nowhere near as many Obama signs as you'd expect from this Democrat bastion. Indeed, I see many yards with signs for the local and state Democrat candidates, but Obama's sign is conspicuously absent.

Of course Obama will win my state big time. He won't win my county, though, and he might not even win my city even though you'd expect him to.

The polls are really wacky too. Gallup has him only 2 points ahead of McCain again, but most other polls show him much further in the lead, even as high as 15 points. That can only mean that the polls are being deliberately twisted and skewed to make it seem like Obama's further ahead than he really is. It's still most likely that he'll win next week (from which may our merciful Lord deliver us!), but I doubt it'll be quite the landslide that the Obama campaign -- that is, the mainstream media -- are telling us it'll be.Confiteborhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17951083063448447552noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5774317.post-81900508518719172392008-10-28T18:14:00.000-05:002008-10-28T18:14:00.000-05:00And an inconvenient observation - I drove a 50plus...And an inconvenient observation - I drove a 50plus mile round trip across 3 county lines today - and if Obama is ahead - why did I not see one single Obama campaign sign in anyone's yard (and over 30 McCain/Pain signs).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5774317.post-41220240648284172882008-10-28T11:59:00.000-05:002008-10-28T11:59:00.000-05:00Per the BHO campaign staff last weekend on a telev...Per the BHO campaign staff last weekend on a television talk shows, "We've got money to burn in this last week and we are not taking anything for granite." I find it somewhat surprising that people believe the candidate who lied about campaign finance promises and has run the most costly political campaign in world history would not believe he would "redistribute" their wealth as well.Patrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08381087750301180720noreply@blogger.com
